Anita Strassberg was a lifelong resident of New Jersey and enthusiastic member of the Jewish Historical Society. In 2015 she generously donated her collection of materials related to the career of her father, Arthur Klein, who was a concert pianist of renown.
Klein made his first appearance in 1916 at what was described as a “monstrous music festival” held at the Newark Armory and was frequently heard over Newark’s Bamberger store’s radio station, WOR. The collection consists of photographs, documents, and ephemera.
